Sequillos are a delicious traditional pastry, light and sweet, perfect with coffee, tea or even a dessert wine. Their recipe, of Arab origin, has lasted for centuries thanks to its simplicity and unmistakable flavour.

Made with flour, egg, sugar and oil, sequillos are ring-shaped and coated in a delicate dry meringue that gives them their characteristic crunch.

Tradition and flavour in every bite

In Jumilla, sequillos are much more than a sweet treat: they are part of the local culture and tradition. They are served at festivals and celebrations, and are still the favourite accompaniment when family and friends get together.

Although other regions know them by different names, such as «Rosquillas de Santa Clara» in Madrid or «Rosquillas de Viento» in Castilla y León, in Jumilla they keep their unique, authentic character.
